The music review online magazine Pitchfork Media placed Bang Bang Rock & Roll at number 192 on their list of top 200 albums of the 2000s.[1] Despite "Emily Kane" missing the top 40 by two copies, the album is collectively highly regarded by all established music critics according to the reviews aggregator Metacritic, with a mark of 83 indicating "Universal acclaim".[2] Formed A Band is featured in "FIFA Street 2"
The title song was featured in the Xbox 360 videogame Saint's Row.
'Bang Bang Rock & Roll' was covered by the American indie rock band We Are Scientists on their 2006 b-sides album Crap Attack
(after the three bonus tracks of the US edition, there are these additional tracks.)
